The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Rise up and warn! 2 And proclaim the Purity of your Lord. 3 And thine raiment purify. 4 And uncleanliness avoid 5 Give not, thinking to gain greater 6 and persevere for your Lord's sake. 7 For when the Trump is sounded 8 that day will be a harsh day, 9 Dolorous for the unbelievers. 10 Leave him to Me whom I created alone, 11 And then bestowed upon him ample means, 12 And sons to be by his side!- 13 And made (life) smooth for him. 14 and who still desires more. 15 By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory! 16 We shall make him suffer the torment of hell without relief. 17 Indeed, he thought and deliberated. 18 So let him be cursed! How he plotted! 19 And once more let him be cursed, how he plotted! 20 Then he beheld, 21 Then he frowned and scowled; 22 then turned back, and swelling-up with pride, 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 24 This is naught else than speech of mortal man. 25 I will cast him into Hell-fire 26 And what do you know what Hell is? 27 It shall not spare, nor leave. 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Over it are Nineteen. 30 And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. 31
