Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
