The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 by the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
