Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 until you come to the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
