The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created the human 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
