Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
