Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
