He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 You neglect. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 How We pour water in showers 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
