Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
