The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
