Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
