The Fig (Al-Teen)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Galaxies (Al-Burooj) before Quraish (Quraish)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the fig and the olive, 1 By Mount Sinai, 2 And [by] this secure city [Makkah], 3 Verily, We created man of the best stature (mould), 4 Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low, 5 except for those who believe and do good deeds -- theirs shall be an unending reward! 6 What, then, [O man,] could henceforth cause thee to give the lie to this moral law? 7 Is not God the most equitable of all judges? 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
