The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
