The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 It will engulf them. 8 In extending columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
