The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
