The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
