Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 'AeenSeenQaaf 2 As such Allah, the Almighty, the Wise reveals to you (Prophet Muhammad) and to those before you. 3 His is all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and most exalted, tremendous is He. 4 Well-nigh the heavens might be rent in sunder from above them. And the angels hallow the praise of their lord and ask forgiveness for these on the earth. Lo! Verily Allah! He is the Forgiver, the Merciful! 5 And (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, Allah watches over them, and you have not charge over them. 6 And thus We have inspired in thee a Lecture in Arabic, that thou mayst warn the mother-town and those around it, and mayst warn of a day of assembling whereof there is no doubt. A host will be in the Garden, and a host of them in the Flame. 7 And if Allah willed, He could have made them [of] one religion, but He admits whom He wills into His mercy. And the wrongdoers have not any protector or helper. 8 Have they taken patrons besides Him! But Allah! He is the Patron, He quickeneth the dead, and He is over everything Potent. 9
