Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 What! They dare say that, “He has fabricated it”? In fact it is the Truth from your Lord, in order that you warn a nation towards whom no Herald of Warning came before you, in the hope of their attaining guidance. 3 God is He that created the heavens and the earth, and what between them is, in six days, then seated Himself upon the Throne. Apart from Him, you have no protector neither mediator; will you not remember? 4 He regulates the affair from the heaven to the earth; then shall it ascend to Him in a day the measure of which is a thousand years of what you count. 5 He knows all that is beyond as well as all that is within a creature's sense-perception. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate, 6 Who made all things He created excellent; and first fashioned man from clay, 7 Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. 8 Then He moulded him; He breathed His Spirit into him; He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. How seldom you are grateful! 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
