3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
