Al-Saaffaat 5 of 5
Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 What, would they then say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
