Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha Mim. 1 'AeenSeenQaaf 2 So reveals to thee, and to those before thee, God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 3 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and He is the Exalted, the Grand. 4 The uppermost heavens are well-nigh rent asunder [for awe of Him]; and the angels extol their Sustainer's limitless glory and praise, and ask forgiveness for all who are on earth. Oh, verily, God alone is truly-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 5 Those who have taken protectors other than Him, are watched over by God. It is not for you to be their guardian. 6 We have revealed the Quran to you in the Arabic language so that you could warn the people of the Mother Town (Mecca) and those around it of the inevitable Day of Resurrection when some will go to Paradise and others to hell. 7 If Allah had so willed, He could have made them a single people; but He admits whom He will to His Mercy; and the Wrong-doers will have no protector nor helper. 8 Or have they taken to them protectors apart from Him? But God -- He is the Protector; He quickens the dead, and He is powerful over everything. 9
