And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
