And a sign for them is the dead land, that We quickened and brought forth from it grain, whereof they eat; 33 And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines and We make springs to flow forth in it, 34 That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing. 38 And the moon, We have determined it in phases till it returns like an old palmbranch. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 except through Our Mercy and as enjoyment for awhile. 44 And when it is said unto them: fear that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy, they withdraw. 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 48 [And they are unaware that] nothing awaits them beyond a single blast [of God's punishment,] which will overtake them while they are still arguing - [against resurrection]: 49 They will have no time to make a will, nor shall they return to their own people. 50
