Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Surely We have given thee a manifest victory, 1 That Allah may forgive for you what preceded of your sin and what will follow and complete His favor upon you and guide you to a straight path 2 And that Allah may help you with strong help. 3 He it is Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might increase belief unto their belief. And Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth and Allah is ever Knowing, Wise. 4 In order to admit the believing men and believing women into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, in which they will abide, and to relieve them of their misdeeds; and this, in Allah’s sight, is the greatest success. 5 And [that] He may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, and the polytheist men and polytheist women - those who assume about Allah an assumption of evil nature. Upon them is a misfortune of evil nature; and Allah has become angry with them and has cursed them and prepared for them Hell, and evil it is as a destination. 6 To God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth; God is All-mighty, All-wise. 7 We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad news, and a warner, 8 In order that you, O people, may accept faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger, and honour and revere the Noble Messenger; and may say the Purity of Allah, morning and evening. (To honour the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him – is part of faith. To disrespect him is blasphemy.) 9 Those who pledge obedience to you are, in fact, pledging obedience to God. The hands of God are above their hands. As for those who disregard their pledge, they do so only against their own souls. Those who fulfill their promise to God will receive a great reward. 10
