The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the pages are made public 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
