Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, 32 so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, 33 Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. 34 So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, 35 for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. 36 And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. 37 In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, 38 But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." 39 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. 40 And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind 41 It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes. 42 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. 45 And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. 46
