Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
