For he neither believed nor prayed, 31 he belied the truth and turned away; 32 Then he went off to his people, swaggering. 33 Nearer to thee and nearer 34 Again, woe to you, [O man!], yes, woe to you! 35 Does man, then, think that he is to be left to himself, to go about at will? 36 What, was he not an ejaculated drop (of sperm)? 37 Then did he become a leech-like clot; then did (Allah) make and fashion (him) in due proportion. 38 And made of him two mates, the male and the female. 39 Is not He (Who doeth so) Able to bring the dead to life? 40
