Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
