Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
