The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
