Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
