۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 and so we became deserving of the Word of our Lord that we shall be made to suffer chastisement. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
