Al-Najm 3 of 3
So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 Thamud, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
