Daybreak (Al-Falaq)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Elephant (Al-Feel) before People (Al-Naas)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

(Muhammad), say, "I seek protection from the Lord of the Dawn 1 From the evil of what He has created, 2 from the evil of night's darkness when it spreads around; 3 "And from the evil of the witchcrafts when they blow in the knots, 4 "And from the evil of the envier when he envies." 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
