In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 These are verses of the wise Book, 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 Such have guidance from their Lord. Such are the successful. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 Whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a person, he turns away in his arrogance, as though he had not heard them -- as though his ears were sealed: give him, then, the tidings of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens of serenity. 8 Wherein they will abide. It is a promise of Allah in truth. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
