Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Hour! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what do you know what that indubitable event is? 3 Thamood and Aad belied the Clatterer. 4 the Thamud were destroyed by a terrible storm of thunder and lightning; 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 Which He made to prevail against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you might have seen the people therein prostrate as if they were the trunks of hollow palms. 7 So do you see any survivor among them? 8 Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. 9 and they rebelled against the Messenger of their Lord, and He seized them with a surpassing grip. 10 Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship 11 so that We might make all this a [lasting] reminder to you all, and that every wide-awake ear might consciously take it in. 12 When a single blast is blown on the trumpet, 13 And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- 14 on that Day the Great Event will come to pass. 15 The sky will cleave asunder on that day and fall to pieces. 16 And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record! 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 He is therefore in the desired serenity. 21 in a lofty Garden, 22 with its fruits within easy reach. 23 Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past". 24 But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 Oh, would that it had been the ending! 27 "My wealth has not availed me, 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 The angels will be told, "Seize and chain them, 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 nor were they concerned with feeding the destitute. 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 nor any food except foul pus 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37
