The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
