The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
