So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Do they say: 'He has invented it' No, they do not believe. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Or have they the treasures of your Lord with them? Or have they been set in absolute authority? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 and also celebrate His praise at night, and at the retreat of the stars. 49
