The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 a host of the ancients 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 and serried acacias, 29 And extended shade, 30 and gushing water, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
