The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 it is not a jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and so am I: 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
