Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And there were those who said, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
