Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
