And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
