Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
