Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
