Have you not considered (the work of) your Lord, how He extends the shade? And if He had pleased He would certainly have made it stationary; then We have made the sun an indication of it 45 thereafter We seize it to Us withdrawing it gently. 46 And it is He Who made the night a veil for you, and the sleep a rest, and made the day for getting up. 47 And it is He, Who drives the winds to be the harbingers of His mercy: then He sends down pure water from the sky 48 To quicken a region that was dead, and to give it as drink to animals We have created and to men in plenty. 49 And We set it forth among them, that they may be admonished, but most men begrudge aught save infidelity. 50 Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every centre of population. 51 So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving. 52 ۞ It is He who has joined the two seas; one palatable and sweet, the other bitterly salty and has established a barrier between them as a partition. 53 It is He who created man from water, then gave him consanguinity and affinity. Your Lord is omnipotent. 54 Yet they worship besides God that which can neither benefit them nor harm them. One who denies the truth is a helper [of evil] against his Lord. 55 And We have not sent you but as a giver of good news and as a warner. 56 Tell them, "I do not ask of you any recompense for this work: I only ask of the one, who will, to adopt the way of his Lord. 57 And trust thou in the Living One who dieth not, and hallow His praise; it sufficeth that He of the sins of His bondmen is Aware. 58 He created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six spans then assumed His authority. He is the benevolent: Ask those who are well-informed. 59 And when it is said to them: Prostrate to the Beneficent Allah, they say: And what is the Allah of beneficence? Shall we prostrate to what you bid us? And it adds to their aversion. ۩ 60
