And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people, “I have no relation whatsoever with your deities.” 26 "Except Him (i.e. I worship none but Allah Alone) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me." 27 And he made it a word to continue in his posterity that they may return. 28 Yes, I gave the good things of this life to these [men] and their fathers, until the truth came to them, and a messenger expounding things clearly, 29 And when the truth cometh unto them, they say this is magic, and verily we are therein disbelievers. 30 They also said: 'Why was this Koran not sent down to a great man from the two Villages' 31 What, is it they who divide the Mercy of your Lord! (It is) We who divided between them their livelihoods in this life, raising some in rank above others, so that some may take the other into his service. Your Lord's Mercy is better than all they gather. 32 And if it were not that the people would become one community [of disbelievers], We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful - for their houses - ceilings and stairways of silver upon which to mount 33 and (silver) doors to their houses, and couches (of silver) upon which they would recline; 34 And ornaments of gold. But all this would have been nothing but the vanity of this world. The Hereafter with your Lord is for those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path. 35
