Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
